Visual Management Examples

Mark Graban provides some very cool visual management examples, including eye masks that let flight attendants know whether to wake you for the beverage cart or not.

Here’s another one from a hospital: socks that let staff know whether or not the patient should be allowed to walk around unaided.

As Graban points out, the key to good visual management is that everyone can know at a glance what the status is.
